play dough for kids
ingredients:
2 cups of plain flour, 2 cups of water, 1 cup salt, 2 tbsp of cooking oil, and food coloring, i got them from the supermarket, they come in a little box and found them at the bakery department
steps:
- mix the dry ingredients together in a pot or container, i used one of my tupperware containers,
- add food coloring to the water put in sauce pan.
- add ingredients slowly to a pan of water and put over medium heat.
- stir constantly until the dough feels like stiff, smooth, mashed potatoes. at this point, take it off the stove. once it has cooled, knead it until it is blended smoothly.
- store the dough in an airtight container, like a ziploc bag or you could also use old play dough containers that you don't use any more, or jellow containers, they come with a lid and you can find them very cheap at the dollar store, they usually come in a four set.
so i know you can always find tons of ways to do this over the internet, but i thought it was going to be nice blogging how i did the first time my daughter had home playdough. thanx to may home visitor and ill post some pics later...
